1. Download the AVG Free Edition installation file. (You should download the file to your desktop, unless you have a better place to put it.) Once the file is downloaded, double click the file on your desktop. (It will start with "AVG". Also, you may disconnect your Internet connection at this point. 2. Follow the install instructions. Accept all default options, except for their toolbar, you don't really need it.	You may need to restart your computer. You should update and scan your computer manually every 1 week to 1 month. Although there is a 'virus shield' on your computer that protects you, you should run a complete scan. (Also, make sure you run spyware checks.).
